Terms and Conditions of Use
Download License version: download-license@2026-10-15 · in force from October 15, 2026
Commercial License version: commercial-license@2026-10-17 · in force from October 17, 2026
Whichever of these you accepted, that identifier and the time of your acceptance are recorded with your purchase, and it governs the license of that name in section 4. Earlier purchases remain governed by whichever version was accepted at the time, and every superseded version stays readable on the changes page. The remaining sections are the general terms of use for the Service and are not separately versioned.
1. Introduction

3. User Roles and Responsibilities
Listeners
As a listener, you may stream music, create playlists, and purchase licenses for music content. You agree not to:

- Use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
- Circumvent any technical measures protecting the content
Artists
As an artist, you may upload music, manage your content, and earn revenue. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have necessary rights to all content you upload
- Your content does not infringe any third-party rights
- Your content complies with all applicable laws and our Community Guidelines

4. Content and Licenses
Content Ownership
All music, artwork, text, and other content on BeatFlow Media Group is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Artists retain ownership of their uploaded content, but grant BeatFlow Media Group a non-exclusive license to distribute and promote such content.
Licensing for Use
When you purchase a license through BeatFlow Media Group, you receive specific rights as outlined in your purchase. License types include:
- Download License: Personal, private listening. Defined in full below.
- Commercial License: Commercial use of named recordings, including synchronization with video, permanently and for a single payment. Available through self-service checkout for a single track, an album, or a collection. Defined in full below.
- Subscription License: Commercial synchronization rights for as long as a paid subscription is active. Work published while subscribed stays licensed permanently.
- Negotiated licenses: Broadcast television and radio, cinema release, paid advertising campaigns, and public performance are quoted per project and are not available through self-service checkout.
The Download License — What You Receive
Licensing a single track or an album grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable, perpetual license to download one copy of the recording and to listen to it privately, for your own personal enjoyment. The license has no time limit and survives the end of any subscription you may hold. It can still be terminated — see Termination of a License below for the two cases: breach of these terms, and reversal of your payment.
You may keep personal backup copies on devices you own. You may not give, sell, lend, or transfer the license or the file to anyone else.
What the Download License Does Not Cover
The following are not granted, and each requires a separate written license from BeatFlow Media Group:
- Public performance — playing the recording to an audience or in a public or commercial space, including DJ sets, clubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, gyms, retail premises, salons, offices, events, and live or recorded streams.
- Broadcast or transmission — radio, television, webcast, podcast, or any on-demand or streaming service.
- Synchronization — pairing the recording with video, film, games, advertising, or any other media.
- Adaptation and derivative works — edits, remixes, mashups, extensions, re-edits, stems, sampling, interpolation, or any altered version of the recording.
- Compilations and mixes — including the recording in a mix, set, compilation, or playlist that you publish, distribute, sell, or monetize.
- Redistribution — reselling, sharing, file-sharing, or uploading the recording to any platform, service, library, or marketplace.
- AI and machine learning — using the recording, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, condition, or evaluate any machine learning model or dataset.
- Sublicensing — granting any of the above to another person, including by uploading to a platform whose terms would require you to grant them such rights.
If you are a DJ, or you play music in a business, a download license is not sufficient. That use requires public performance rights, which in most territories are obtained from a performing rights organization, and may also require a separate license from us.
The Commercial License — What You Receive
A Commercial License is a separate and wider license from a Download License, purchased for a single payment. It covers only the recordings identified on your license — a single track, the tracks of one album, or the tracks of one collection — and not our catalogue as a whole.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Synchronize the recordings with video and publish the result, including on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and podcast platforms, and including monetized content.
- Use the recordings in podcasts, applications, games, presentations, installations and online course material.
- Include the recordings in work you deliver to your own clients under your own name.
- Do all of the above permanently. This license has no expiry date and there is nothing to renew.
- Download and retain the recordings for the purposes above.
There is no cap on views, downloads, impressions or the number of projects. The license is non-exclusive: we license the same recordings to other people.
Your end client receives the benefit of your delivered work. They do not receive a license of their own, and they may not extract the recordings from your work for separate use. If they need the recordings independently, they need their own license.
What the Commercial License Does Not Cover
The following are not granted, and each requires a separate written license from BeatFlow Media Group:
- Broadcast television and radio, and cinema release.
- Paid advertising campaigns — television, radio, cinema, or campaigns backed by paid media spend.
- Public performance — playing the recording to an audience or in a commercial space, including DJ sets, clubs, bars, restaurants, gyms and retail premises.
- Resale, redistribution or sublicensing of the music on its own — including uploading it to any library, marketplace, sample pack or stock service.
- AI and machine learning — using the recordings, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, condition, or evaluate any machine learning model or dataset.
- Registration with any rights or royalty collection service — including performing rights organizations, collective management organizations, YouTube Content ID, and Meta Rights Manager. Registering our recordings causes claims against other licensees and against us.
Claims Against Your Content
Our catalogue is not registered with YouTube Content ID or Meta Rights Manager, so we do not claim or mute our licensees’ content. If a third party claims your content anyway, your account provides a dispute pack — your license number, its public verification link, and a statement you may submit to the platform.
We do not undertake to have a claim cleared. Platforms accept disputes only from the account that uploaded the content, so we cannot submit one on your behalf, and we cannot compel a third party to release a claim it made in error. Some recordings are AI-generated and may resemble other catalogues closely enough to trigger a false automated match.
Reservation of Rights
All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by BeatFlow Media Group and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any recording, composition, artwork, or trademark to you. A purchase is a license, not a sale of the underlying work.
Scope of Our Warranty
We warrant that we have the right to grant the license described above. We make no representation or warranty that any recording is protected by copyright, that any particular person owns or authored it, that it is original, or that it is or will remain exclusive to you or to us. Recordings are licensed on an “as is” basis.
AI Provenance
Some or all recordings available through BeatFlow Media Group are created with the assistance of, or generated by, artificial intelligence tools. The legal status of copyright in AI-generated material is unsettled and varies by jurisdiction. Your rights and obligations under this license are contractual and apply regardless of whether copyright subsists in any particular recording.
Termination of a License
A download license terminates automatically and immediately if you breach any restriction above. On termination you must stop using the recording and delete all copies in your possession. Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund and does not limit any other remedy available to us.
Termination when payment is reversed. A download license is granted in exchange for payment. If the payment for a recording is reversed — whether by a full refund, or by a chargeback or payment dispute raised with your card issuer or payment provider — the license granted by that purchase terminates automatically and immediately on the reversal. On termination you must stop using the recording and delete all copies in your possession, and we may decline to supply that recording to you again.
A partial refund does not terminate a license. Where we issue a refund and tell you in writing that your license continues, it continues.
Nothing in this section affects your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer or bank. That right is yours by law and we do not ask you to give it up.
Because recordings are delivered as files, we cannot recover a file you have already downloaded. Termination ends your right to use the recording; any use of it after termination is unlicensed.
Acceptance and Versioning
These Terms are versioned by date. You are asked to accept the version in force at the time you buy, and the version identifier and the time of your acceptance are recorded against your purchase. Those recorded values, and not any later revision of this page, govern that purchase.
Licenses are non-transferable and subject to the specific terms presented at the time of purchase.
Because of that, superseded versions stay in force for the people who accepted them, and we keep their text. If you bought under an earlier version and want to read the terms you actually agreed to, ask us through the contact form and we will send you that version. Knowing your deal should not require trusting our summary of it.
5. Payments and Revenue
Purchases
All purchases are processed through our payment partner, Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details. Prices are displayed in USD. The price charged is the price stored against the item at the time of purchase.
Delivery
Purchases are delivered as a digital download from your account. Download links are generated on request and are deliberately short-lived; if a link expires before you use it, request another from your purchase history. Your license does not expire when a link does.
Refunds
Because a purchase delivers a digital file immediately and the license granted cannot be returned, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds for change of mind.
We will refund you in full where we fail to deliver what you paid for — for example, where the file is corrupt, where the recording does not match its description, or where a charge was duplicated. Contact us and we will make it right.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory right you have that cannot be waived under the law of your country or state.
Cancellation Rights and Immediate Delivery
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase. For digital content delivered as a download, that right does not survive delivery once you have asked for it.
At checkout you are asked to confirm two things before any payment is taken: that you want your download made available immediately, and that you understand doing so means you lose the right to cancel. You cannot complete a purchase without confirming both, and we record which version of these terms you confirmed and when.
If you would rather keep your cancellation right, do not complete the purchase — contact us instead and we will arrange it.
This applies to one-off downloads. A subscription is treated differently: it is an ongoing service rather than a single piece of digital content, and your statutory cancellation rights for it are not affected by this section.
None of this affects your rights where a recording is faulty, is not as described, or where we fail to deliver it.
Artist Revenue
Artists earn 70% of net sales revenue, with BeatFlow Media Group retaining 30% as a platform fee covering hosting, bandwidth, catalog administration, and platform maintenance. Payouts are processed monthly via Stripe Connect, subject to a minimum threshold of $50.
What “Net Sales Revenue” Means
Net sales revenue means the amount charged to the buyer, less payment processing fees, less the statutory mechanical royalty payable on the composition, less any refund or chargeback on that sale. The 70/30 split is applied to that figure.
Worked example. A track sold at $1.99: payment processing of $0.36 and a statutory mechanical royalty of $0.131 are deducted, leaving net sales revenue of $1.50. The artist receives $1.05 and BeatFlow Media Group retains $0.45.
The statutory mechanical rate is set by the U.S. Copyright Royalty Board and changes annually. The rate applied is the one in force on the date of the sale — currently 13.1¢ per track, or 2.52¢ per minute for recordings over five minutes, whichever is greater. An album owes this once per track.
Statements and Audit
Royalty statements itemize gross revenue and each deduction separately, so that net sales revenue can be checked against the amount charged. You may request supporting records for any statement within twelve months of its issue.
Subscriptions
We offer monthly licensing subscriptions: Student ($9.99/month), Creator ($24.00/month), Professional ($49.00/month) and Agency ($149.00/month). Each tier grants the download and licensing rights listed for it on our pricing page, for as long as the subscription is active.
Subscriptions renew automatically. Your payment method is charged the amount above at the start of each monthly billing period, and continues to be charged each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account page, which opens our payment provider’s billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that.
Cancelling a subscription does not affect tracks you bought outright. A one-off download license is perpetual and survives the end of any subscription you hold.
